Beautiful yellow Citroen Mehari. Based on a Citroen dyane 6.
This car has been lovingly assembled on a high quality, heavy duty, galvanised, old Wheales chassis. It comes with many new parts including, stainless steel suspension units, shock absorbers, brake master cylinder and reservoir, rear wheel cylinders, pads, discs and shoes all round, wiring loom, exhaust system, tyres and plenty of other things I would have forgotten to list! It starts, stops and drives very well! The gearbox is mint with no wear or whines whatsoever. The engine pulls like a train. The body is a second hand body that was on a car imported to the U. K. early in its life and was sprayed racing green, which has protected the panels from the sun. Hence it is not brittle and cracking like most old Mehari’s. It is now hand painted in yellow but still looks pretty good. And as such, is a car you are not afraid to use. You can always touch it up if it gets knocked.
It comes complete with brand new weather gear, which is yet to be taken out of its packaging and fitted. It currently has two, all weather seats fitted ( made from 2cv seats frames fitted with garden recliners seat bases) This means no soggy bottom if it gets caught out in the rain! There are 2 newly reupholstered proper Mehari seats available instead of the new owner would prefer! It has a fold down steel windscreen which works if required ( it would take a tap with a hammer to move the locking slides). All in all. This car is a joy and attracts attention everywhere it goes. I’m only selling to make way for 2 new projects, including another Mehari and I will be sorry to see it go but I am running out of space! The car was voluntarily mot tested in April this year to check it was safe to use and passed with no advisory’s.
