Primrose Yellow MGC Roadster 1969. Chrome wires, OD.
Manufactured 14-15 November 1968, despatched to the USA 29 November 1968. All matching numbers.
Repatriated from the USA in May 2025 this is an as new MGC Roadster completed to better than factory specification. Everything is new or reconditioned with restoration just completed. Has only covered 21 miles. MOT September 2026.
Restoration was started in the USA with a professional body rebuild consisting of Heritage front wings, sills and front floors. Nothing else was needed as a very dry car. Here in the UK the car was sandblasted and the underneath finished with etch primer stone chip and colour. See the underneath pictures!! Please don't confuse this car with a UK one with thick black underseal covering more plates than the BIsmark. Only plates on this car are the ones on the front and rear bumpers.
The bottom end of the engine was rebuilt in the USA with +30 pistons, +10 mains and +10 big end bearings and remained unused. Completion of the rebuild took place this year with a reconditioned unleaded cylinder head fitted and fully balanced. Fantastic acceleration as a late car with a 3. 7 ratio rear axle.
All chrome is new, all electrics are new as are all the hydraulics and the interior. Invoices go back to 1985 and comes with a Heritage Certificate.
This is probably the best MGC roadster for sale in the UK at this time.
