Rover 75 tourer cdt spares or repair
260k miles
We bought this Rover 75 tourer in 2007 and I ran it as my daily driver until May 2025 covering 178k miles taking its milage from 82k to 260k. Over this time it was extremely reliable and regularly returned 52 mpg. The interior is in good condition apart from the headlining that is pinned up, the engine and gearbox still run very well and the gears select as well as they always have. The bodywork is showing its age requiring welding on the sills and a pair of front wings. The rear wheel arches are also coroding. The rear suspension arms are badly coroded which is the reason I took it off the road. It was stood unused until last week when I put a battery on it and it started instantly and ran just as well as it always has. The car will need transporting as it has no MOT and the rear upper suspension arms are badly coroded as mentioned above. It starts, drives and stops so willbe easy to load.
The car was an ex lease car when we bought it and the service history was not passed on to us. I have serviced it every 15k miles, using Castrol GTX magnatec 10W40 oil, when the service indicator showed a service was due. The vehicle had a very easy life as it was only used for long trips of either 65 or 150 miles on A-roads and motorways.
