The Appeal
The TF was the last of the classic vintage T-Type MGs and makes a very usable, much-loved alternative to certain other Malvern-based be-winged sports cars. Here is a chance to acquire a rare factory RHD car that will suit an enthusiast who is handy with the spanners.
The car retains its correct ‘P’ prefix Ivory paintwork and is in surprisingly good condition considering that it has been in storage for 26 years, both in France and then the UK. The current keeper bought it in the 1980s and had it restored in the '90s, using it for classic rallies and events. It remains complete and was started when it arrived in the UK in 2020, but hasn’t been run since.
This car will need recommissioning, but doesn’t appear to be the sort of wishful thinking project that often affects classics. For the right buyer, this looks promising.
The vendor says:
“I have driven it in classic rallies in the early 90s, and it was a joy to run. I would love for someone to take this project on and get it back on the road. My father would have loved it.”
