The Jaguar D-Type is one of the most revered shapes in motorsport history. Born to conquer Le Mans, it did so repeatedly through the 1950s, cementing its place in the pantheon of great racing cars. With original examples now commanding seven-figure sums, a carefully built evocation offers a compelling and accessible route into the D-Type experience, and this Revival Motorsport example has a story of its own worth telling.

Chassis number 002, this car was built between 2001 and 2002 by John Arnold, whose deep experience with Jaguar competition machinery informed every detail of the construction. One of a small number produced for a gentleman's race series, it was built as a pure race car and reportedly piloted by Adrian Newey and F1 presenter Tony Jardine, with the McLaren team reportedly attending to its running and suspension set-up. It is said to have proved competitive and successful on track.

Since its racing days, the car has been transitioned to road use with 'Fast Road' cams fitted and the engine tuned by Trident Motor Services, while Revival Motorsport have more recently serviced and set up the car for the road. The body (all painted green) is a composite of grp and Kevlar to meet MSA regs. The tubular space frame structure under the body is steel. There are disc brakes front and rear. There is no spare wheel with the car.
