The Appeal

The Toyota Celica Supra is one of the most compelling Japanese grand tourers of the 1980s. Its smooth 2,800cc inline-six, pop-up headlights and digital dashboard offered a level of sophistication that felt practically space-age when it hit the market, and has now comfortably settled into a much-loved piece of retro-futurism.

This car has had just two registered keepers from new, having been originally purchased from Car Distributors Ltd in Cardiff, a franchised Toyota dealership at the time. The first keeper owned the car from new, covering just 1,000–2,000 miles per year, and stamped the service book annually regardless of mileage. The current seller acquired the car in 2019 and has continued to use it sparingly for shows, family events and weddings.

The vendor describes the paintwork as "being like glass," noting it is all original except for the sunroof panel, which was repainted with a colour match. The interior is also in handsome order, with the rear seats and boot having seen very little use.

Hi, Lovely Supra, I had one a long time ago! I just wanted to check, the timing belt, tensioners, rollers and water pump were last change in 1996? If you could confirm, that would be appreciated. Regards Brian.

Thats true. However we did remove the cover and check the belt - it is still like new, has not gone hard / brittle. It can be changed for extra piece of mind but is actually perfect. Thanks
