The Appeal
The Land Rover Wolf is the military-specification Defender, purpose-built to exacting standards for the British Armed Forces. Engineered to endure the most demanding environments and maintained to strict military schedules throughout their service lives, these Defenders boasted all manner of features for departmental service.
This example is reportedly a TUM HS helicopter support model, further distinguished by the Ministry of Defence's REMUS upgrade — a comprehensive package encompassing a Front Roll Over Protection System, rear retracting seat belts, Wright Off-Road acoustic matting, and a wax-injected, undercoated chassis including the bulkhead.
Manufactured in 1999 and first registered for civilian use in August 2020, this Wolf has benefited from considerable recent attention. Throughout 2025, it received new tires, a replacement fuel filler neck, a new exhaust and muffler, and a routine oil and filter service. The engine was overhauled in 2014 on behalf of the MoD, and the seller reports that it starts, runs, and drives well. Finished in matte green with black checker plates, and equipped with a roof rack, rear access ladder, protective headlight grilles, a differential lock, and a roll cage, it presents as a well-equipped and capable machine.image.png4.18 MB
