The Appeal
Unless you’re a big fan of remodelling hedges backwards, there’s a strong case to argue that the 996 perfected the 911 Turbo. Brutally quick and utterly surefooted, thanks to clever suspension and all-wheel drive, the Turbo is excitement on wheels.
The trick when buying one is to find a car like this. These cars are so thrilling that many have been thrashed. Not this one. Finished in Basalt Black, it is a high specification, low mileage car that has been meticulously maintained by its keepers. The current one bought it in 2020 and has continued the tradition of regular Porsche main dealer and well-regarded specialist care.
The list of maintenance and improvements since 2020 reads like a checklist of what you want to find on one of these cars. There has been work to the suspension, a new alternator, a partial respray to correct minor imperfections, new ignition coil pack, Designtek head gasket fitted and a Stage 2 remap to 550bhp. The clutch and flywheel were replaced at 67,000 miles, shortly before the vendor acquired the car.
The service book shows regular attention right up to November 2025, and the MOT runs to November next year with no advisories. This is a really good example of the 996 Turbo with some choice enhancements to make it even better.
