The Appeal
The R56-generation Cooper S remains one of the most engaging hot hatchbacks of its era. With its turbocharged engine, sharp chassis and compact dimensions, it offers a driving experience that few rivals of the period can match. The challenge, particularly with modified examples, is finding one with a genuinely known and transparent history.
This 2011 example was supplied new through the Polish dealer network and has remained in Poland throughout its life. Crucially, the seller's family owned it for several years before selling it on. When the opportunity arose to buy it back, they did so.
The car has been upgraded with a selection of considered modifications covering engine management, exhaust, suspension and tyres, all detailed below.
