Renault 5 Alpine Turbo GRF – 300 bhp | Ex-Group F Rally | FFSA Passport A legend of French rallying. An exceptional build. An unequivocal track record. The Renault 5 Alpine Turbo: an icon of French motorsport The Renault 5 Alpine Turbo is one of the most emblematic automobiles in the history of French motorsport. Born in 1982 in Renault's workshops, it extended the success of the Renault 5 Alpine by adding turbocharger supercharging, opening the way to a new era of performance in the small-capacity competition category. Homologated by the French Motorsport Federation (FFSA), the R5 Alpine Turbo quickly established itself as a formidable weapon in national and regional rally events. Its lightness, compact dimensions and supercharged engine make it an ideal candidate for twisty special stages. But it is in its Group F Rally (GRF) prepared guise that it reaches its true potential as a competition machine. This car: history and complete traceability This is an example with impeccable documentary traceability, including all successive registration certificates, the FFSA FC/ FS passport (edition 05/ 05/ 2026), the preparation technical sheet, and complete palmares. The car was acquired and prepared by Rémi Dujardin, a mechanic-preparer based in Verdun-sur-Garonne (82600), a recognised figure in the South-West French rally scene. It was under his hands that this R5 was transformed into a genuine competition prototype, achieving performance levels reserved for higher-category machines. Rémi Dujardin: a reference preparer Rémi Dujardin is a name that resonates in French regional rally circles. Based in Tarn-et-Garonne, this competition mechanics enthusiast has specialised in preparing lightweight high-performance cars, with particular expertise in turbocharged Renault engines. With this Renault 5 Alpine Turbo GRF, Dujardin carried out comprehensive, radical and coherent preparation work: from engine to chassis, every component was designed to optimise performance whilst guaranteeing reliability on event. The results speak for themselves: 100 competition entries, an exceptional palmares, and a car today presented in an impeccable state of preparation. The "Rémi Dujardin Preparation" badge visible on the engine is a sign of a guarantee of seriousness and expertise recognised by his peers. Engine preparation: the heart of the beast The original Renault 840-26 engine, a 1555 cc four-cylinder in-line (80 mm bore × 77 mm stroke), has been completely overhauled and pushed to an exceptional level of preparation. Overall management is ensured by a SIEMENS system, perfectly mastered and mapped for this specific application. Rémi Dujardin's preparation philosophy is that of a genuine prototype. Front axle The front axle has been completely redesigned according to an oversized superimposed double-wishbone principle with programmed geometry, incorporating: Negative offset Anti-squat Anti-dive Optimised Jeantaud principle This is a suspension geometry worthy of World Rally Championship cars, designed to maximise traction and stability under acceleration. Rear axle The rear axle is derived from the Renault 21 Turbo with torsion bars removed, allowing more precise suspension adjustment and better cornering compliance. Suspensions The hydro-pneumatic suspensions are signed FOURNALES, designed specifically for this vehicle. They offer optimal regulation of body movements regardless of speed and terrain type.
