The Appeal
We’re so used to classic early 90s Defenders being deep in mud or showing the wear of their working lives that, no pun intended, the discovery of a 90 like this comes as quite a surprise. It is a really tidy, factory-standard, petrol-powered Defender that is more show star than field worker.
The well-kept classic dark green and white livery, with its ‘Defender’ door slash, reflects the low documented mileage of 55,500 miles and a sympathetic restoration by the previous keeper around 2024, following a period of long-term storage. Inside and out it contains a wealth of neat details that will please purists, all of them in great condition for a vehicle that is nearly 34 years old. The vendor tells us that he has used it regularly since purchase without issue.
The service history is provide below and supports the low mileage, as do the MOT records. The current MOT runs to March 2027 with no advisories.
We expect this lovely Defender will appeal to Land Rover lovers who value original, factory-standard spec and great condition.
The vendor says:
“This Defender drives probably better than most, and after her hiatus in dry storage for just under 20 years, she is being used every day. She takes on the local rural roads with ease but is just as happy cruising at 50/60 on the dual carriageway. Whilst not the fastest out of the block, she will get you wherever you need to go, and it's an absolute joy to drive along. She stands extremely well and received compliments wherever she goes. She would be the jewel of your collection, just as happy bobbing along as your daily driver.”
