1996 Mini Cooper S by John Cooper Garages. This very rare and special Cooper S was supplied new by John Cooper Garages and also supplied to its second and third owner for which I have sales invoices for each owner change. This is not a converted car but built and sold new as a Cooper S and is Car number 72. It is in Tahiti blue with a white roof, mirrors and bonnet stripes. It has its Cooper S rear laurels, red bonnet and boot badges and metal wheel centres. The interior comprises of full black leather seats, walnut dashboard, door pulls, centre console and door cappings. It has the Cooper S alloy door step covers, signed John Cooper / Mota lita leather steering wheel, signed clock, volts and oil pressure gauges and alloy petrol filler cap which is all correct for this model. It also has an Alpine CD radio which was also the common choice of unit supplied by John Cooper. To finish off the car it has the registration number C13 FUN (Cooper 1. 3 Fun) which looks great and is the type of number that many of John Coopers cars had. The last enthusiast owned bought the car form John Cooper in 1999 and have loved the car for the last 19 years. They have always garaged the car and maintained it properly during this time. It was serviced by John Cooper Garages until they closed and since then by their local garage. It has been serviced 14 times and has covered 50100 miles from new. The body condition is remarkably good and looks like it has covered less than half of this mileage. Driving this mini Cooper S is what it is all about and the way it accelerates up through the gears is addictive and great fun. The fun of driving it is enhanced further by its full length electric sunroof which lets the light flood in and as well as the sound from its sports exhaust! I have a thick history file which includes lots of John Cooper Garages paperwork, its signed Cooper S certificate, all past MOTs, all service receipts, both sets of keys and the original book pack.
