2001 Rover Mini Cooper Sport 500 S Works in classic British Racing Green and silver. This is one of the last 500 Mini Coopers ever made making it very collectable. It has a full silver and black leather interior with an alloy effect dashboard and original Rover radio cassette. Being a Sport 500 when you open the glove box there is a metal plaque showing that it is one of the last ever made minis. This mini was bought new and owned for the first 15 years. During this time it covered 24000 miles, was always garaged and was serviced 12 times all at Rover and MG garages. I have every service invoice and past MOT to support the work and mileage. I then sold it to its 2nd retired owned who has spent a fortune bringing the car up to S Works specification with the help of the Cooper Car Company and Mini Sport. It has been converted to S Works and now produces 85 BHP on the rolling road as well as having a 4 pot alloy brake calliper / vented disc upgrade and a Paddy Hopkirk quick shift gear lever, all making it very exciting to drive. It also has the Moulton Smootha Ride kit which gives a more compliant ride, adjustable height and rear radius arm adjustment for correct 4 wheel alignment. These upgrades cost £3500 plus around £1000 in fitting and servicing. It has now covered a total of 26650 miles in the last 18 years and has one of the best history files and servicing records I have ever seen. When you get in the car you are reminded that it is a special Mini due to the numbered John Cooper conversion plate and as soon as you start it the exhaust tone makes it come alive. Externally there are other giveaway badges and John Cooper S laurels to let others know that this is no normal mini Cooper. The combination of it being one of the last 500 minis ever made, the S Works conversion / brake upgrade and being a 2 owner, low mileage and immaculate car makes it very rare and very collectable.
