The Jaguar XJ-S was produced from 1975 until 1996. In 1981 the V12 versions were renamed “H. E” and given a reworked engine with “fireball” heads producing a claimed 295bhp.
This car is a 1985 XJS SC Cabriolet in Sebring Red with black leather trim. The mileage is correct at 77, 000 and this is backed up by a comprehensive history with 17 stamps in the service book, the majority from Jaguar agents and specialists. The body and underside are in outstanding condition and all of the usual problem areas such as the inner wings are in fine condition. The paint-finish is excellent with no evidence of rust – please see the additional close-up photos. The interior trim is in good order including the original working Clarion radio. On the road this superb XJS runs and drives just as well as it looks.
Jaguar XJS values have been steadily increasing. The SC version with lift out roof panels was somewhat overlooked for years but is becoming particularly desirable.
