This particular four wheel drive rally car for the road was born in Italy, where she spent her first 5 years before making her way to England in 1996. Immaculately presented in Lancia Bianco, with a contrasting archetypal eighties Recaro Alcantara sports interior and sitting on diamond cut alloy wheels shod with new Toyo Proxes tyres, she has clearly been cosseted right from day one.
This is verified by the large, lever arch file containing all of the original handbooks, fully stamped Italian main dealer Service Book and stack of invoices from only Integrale specialists. These include bills for a Turbo replacement & upgrade, transmission refurbishment, brake master cylinder and caliper renewal, along with many others indicating a no expense spared attitude to ownership. She has covered only 89000 miles in the last 28 years and drives beautifully, with pin sharp handling, a sublime steering response and grip that defies the laws of physics. In town she is docile, comfortable and serene. However, once on the open road (or Rally stage) she is savagely quick. After momentary eighties turbo-lag, all hell breaks loose and your surroundings gather pace very quickly… that’s when you become glad of the supreme racing derived drivetrain and suspension set up which led to unrivalled competition success back in the day.
