The Appeal
There are many flavours of Integrale, but where things began to get properly spicy was with this car, the 16V launched in 1989. This is where the bonnet bulge arrived, notably differentiating it from regular Deltas. It is a subtle change, though - to the uninitiated, this car seriously underplays its brutal capability. AWD, close to 200bhp from that Lampredi twin-cam, and 60 mph from standstill in a shade over 5 secs put the diminutive HF 16V amongst motoring’s true greats.
With under 60,000km notched up in its 37 years this factory standard, matching numbers 16V is a really appealing find. It is well kept too, the black paintwork, grey alloys and multicolour interior all in very good order and pleasingly unmodified.
The vendor tells us that he acquired the car in 2022 from Spanish specialist Colombo Classics. We’re told that it received a mechanical overhaul on purchase. Since then it has been used very sparingly, never in the rain, and stored in a temperature-controlled garage.
The Integrale is indisputably one of the greatest Italian cars ever made. Don’t miss this well-preserved, low mileage 16V.
The vendor says:
“Car is a real head turner. Very comfortable and fun to drive. Sticks to the road and corners really well.”
