1974 Datsun 260Z 2 seater 4 speed manual gearbox... a rare and sought after beast indeed.
Here's the story..
Imported by my friend and I in July 2018. He is a Z enthusiast who currently owns two others including a concours 240z. It took him months to find this example.
This is a two USA owner July 1974 car. First owner registered it new in the very dry state of Arizona and only drove it to 55k miles. We have the original USA title and and owner history with a letter from the first owner confirming the current 56k mileage is genuine. The second owner garaged it and that is where it remained until our acquisition in July. Consequently it is rust free.
We delivered the car to Fourways Engineering who prepared it for a UK MOT which it passed in July. It is now UK registered with a current V5 document and UK MOT.
It has had a a set of round top carbs fitted to the original 2. 6 litre engine and drives very well with plenty of power. It has just had a full service including oil, filters, plugs, leads, bushings, new battery and a Euro lights conversion.
The gauges work, it has no rust or cracks and is very solid including the underside and arches. The car is a genuine original unmolested example in exceptional condition for the year. Due to various other projects we have reluctantly decided to sell.
We have a set of the rare original "D" hubcaps, the original carbs, aircon unit, spare air filter box in red and an assortment of other under bonnet parts which will be included.
The car can be viewed in London SW10. Please email me with any questions.
