motodrome are pleased to offer this 1998 Mini Cooper Sports LE, finished in Brooklands Green with White roof, and full green leather interior.
1 of 100 produced in 1998 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Mini Cooper’s victory in 4 saloon car championship races in 1968 – all were either green as this one, or black.
Externally, fitted with the correct white mirrors, front spotlamps (although this one has 4 instead of the usual 2), sports suspension pack, 13x6in Sportspack wheels, and sportspack wheelarches.
It’s also been fitted with a wonderful full-length Webasto-type sunroof, which is electric, an Aston Martin style racing filler cap, and stainless silencer.
Internally it has the correct walnut dashboard, dark green full leather seats, green carpets, dark green leather and black steering wheel.
The interior has been further enhanced with walnut door and window cappings, a modern stereo with USB port, and the original green gearknob has been replaced with an alloy one
This one has excellent provenance and history – only 3 owners from new (the last owner since 2008) and the warranted 64000 miles is supported by history including 10 stamps in the original service book, all by either main dealer or Mini Specialist. Last serviced at 61285m in 2018, battery replaced and cooling system flushed June 19.
The last enthusiast owner commissioned said Mini specialist to respray the car in June 2014, having had them replace both doors, the nearside A panel, and both front wings.
