• Genuine reason for sale and priced to sell
• On UK registration located in Netherlands
• First registration is shown as February 1984, but built around March/ April 1979 per letter from TVR (see photos). I believe it was a demo car at ‘The Chequered Flag’ showrooms in London for some years before it was first sold.
• Matching original chassis numbers (BODY OFF RESTORATION 2008/ 9)
• No matching engine numbers as a refurbed engine was put in at the body-off restoration time.
• 5-speed gearbox fitted at time of restoration
• Speedo shows 3985 miles (obviously gone around the clock) but the refurbished engine has done very few of these miles (less than 1000 I genuinely believe)
• MOT certificates going back to 1985 (which shows 19756 miles).
• V5C document (log book) present – I am the 10th owner (owned since June 2009)
• Vehicle is recorded SORN since November 2011.
• Replaced the nylon toothed timing gear wheel with an alloy gear wheel in 2011.
Just recently home garaged after 8 years in dry storage;
• General maintenance undertaken so runs nice and brakes well
• No MOT/ Dutch APK so needs to be collected by trailer
• New mechanical fuel pump
• New windscreen washer bottle and motor
• New accuspark ignition system and distributor shaft (including coil, cables and spark plugs)
Imperfections;
• Paint application not great and would benefit from a respray. A previous owner has attempted a spray but it has not taken. You will see on the photos I have taken back a couple of areas (bonnet nose and passenger side roof) and the good news is that the fibre glass is in good condition. Would look great with a top spray job – I realise that, hence the price.
Excellent mechanically. Hardly driven since body-off restoration.
