Very original R90S in Daytona Orange. Cosmetically and mechanically excellent, and to standard specification apart from the following:
-Boyer electronic ignition
-LED instrument and warning light panel fitted.
This is a matching numbers bike.
Imported from South Africa in 2016 and re-commissioned by Motorworks. Acquired my myself in 2018. Due to some smoking on start-up (common on airheads), I had the barrels rebored and +1. 0mm oversize genuine BMW pistons fitted. The cylinder heads and rocker covers were vapour blasted at the same time. The result is a very smart engine with no smoking! Other recent expenditure is a new clutch in 2019, a rear tyre (Continental) and stainless exhaust downtubes/ balancer pipe. And finally, a standard spec Stabilo steering damper (not needed, but fun to play with!
The fairing, side panels and tail unit have been re-painted to a high standard and are flawless. The seat was recovered in 2016.
under the seat, the original and very comprehensive toolkit in its roll is all present, except for the feeler gauges. The tyre pump is present.
The wheels and brakes are in fine condition. The frame has a few minor marks.
I am not aware of any imminent expenditure due or likely. The bike is available for viewing in a safe, sheltered outdoor area.
I have another R90S available too, slightly more weathered but very useable, if you cant afford the best.
