1954 MGTF SPORTS CONVERTIBLE
finished in MG red with biscuit leather trim complemented by a biscuit hood, side screens and tonneau cover piped in red with black carpets. This vehicle has had 6 former keepers and has covered a believed 27000 miles and is in very good order throughout. It has an added benefit of being both tax and Mot exempt.
The ground up restoration took several years and was completed in October 2008. This is a genuine right-hand drive UK example (rhd being the minority of the total of 9600 TFs built) sold new in the UK with all numbers matching and restored in the original colour scheme.
The features include: electronic ignition, Kenlow fan, chrome wire wheels with knock on spinners with removal tool, period badge bar RAC badge, spotlights, poppy badge and AA badge adorning the grille, GB badges, MG badges, folding windscreen, flip petrol cap, rear luggage rack, chrome wire headlight shields, union jack and racing chequered flag to side panels, wing mirrors, chrome rear view mirror, chrome rocker cover, stainless exhaust, black and silver number plates, full MG toolkit with starting handle, leather trim, KN pancake air filters and a highly desirable 1930s Brooklands race steering wheel.
The history folder includes: current V5, all previous Mot certificates from 1997-2020 confirming the mileage over that period to be correct, circa 100 images of the restoration, original green registration book, previous tax discs, MG operation manual, DVLA documentation, MGOC spares info, Kenlow fan installation instructions, Pertronix Ignitor installation instructions, carburettor servicing and tuning guides, spark plug info, invoices circa £16000 (all indexed for ease of reference.
