Description
Finished in British Racing Green with Suede Green Leather Interior, Purchased in 1989 by its current owner the E Type then had a protracted 16 year full restoration returning to the road in 2006. This work included a complete strip down to a bare shell including space frames off. Re-painted along with a NEW Jaguar Bonnet as the original was slightly damaged in transit. My client imported the car back to the UK in late 1989 from Texas. No rust was found at all and all panels are original apart from the new bonnet.
Work was carried out to the highest standard with great attention to originality where possible, right down to under bonnet paint finishes along with correct plating and even to the extent of re-plating seat runners, window mechanisms, dashboard (before covering) and so on. The Chrome was all good and did not need work.
Converted to RHD to correct UK spec’ with 9:1 Compression Engine, Triple SU Carburettors, Differential change, Wiper mechanism re-aligned for RHD, Fluid bottles etc. relocated.
Car is still in stunning condition having covered less than 4500 miles over the last 12 Years or so since returning to the road after restoration. Body is still rust free and paint is still very good with minor imperfections.
