1966 LAND ROVER SERIES II 88”
This iconic little series has just turned up in part exchange against a 109” vehicle we sold to an enthusiast only yesterday, he absolutely loved this little series but due to an expanding family and enjoying using his car on weekends with everyone he went for the larger option!!
Displaying just over 30k miles (we obviously cant confirm this as genuine due to the vehicles age) Mechanically it is excellent, starts first time every time and everything seems to work barring the fuel gauge! (which incidentally the 109” he purchased had the same fault!) It stops and goes exactly as it should and is great fun to drive. The vehicle has also been subject to a recent lubrication service and the previous owner has spent a fair sum of money according to him having the full underside of the car recently waxoyld which is a very nice job in fairness, replacement exhaust, replacement seats and seatbelt’s, new canvas top.
It has a typical Land Rover body which just adds to the charm on a vehicle this age so there are a few chips/ dents/ scratches in the bronze green paint.
The chassis is in excellent order with no welding required and I can see that it has had a replacement rear cross member and a couple of other repairs at some point in its life, the chassis is fully waxoyld.
