The Pepper Red one is anything but average, it is a very minor body paint detail away from concourse show winning, as it is it must be a contender for most original in any show, it is as good underneath as it is on top, the interior is THE best you will ever find and no sunroof, the demise of so many of these, but ICE COLD aircon.
Under the bonnet is just superb, it has rubber over mats, over the upturned original over mats, and a thick cushioned over mat cut to size for the boot.
Very obviously cherished and garaged by 1 owner with 22 ford service stamps and mot tested by Ford Agents only, including the current one.
It has never failed an mot, I am quite happy to put 12 months on it if required,
The advisories on last mot were for sills, they have been professionally repaired using a small cut from a new sill and repainted, that is an excellent match to the un faded and mopped body, that has never had repair.
There is not even surface rust on the suspension springs, they are still black with factory paint markings, there is no stretching or sagging of the seat cloth, the oil is spotless, looking at the history it has never been given a chance to get dirty inside that block, coolant likewise.
There is one tiny mark on the n/ s front alloy, they are not refurbed or repainted, all the plastic trim, rubbers seals, even all 3 keys, the torch one still working, are in excellent condition, there is only one level to take it, show winner.
Needless to say it drives perfectly.
The black one has 12 months mot, no advisories, but has had 2 mot patches where sunroof drains, and another on drivers step, sills are solid as are rear arches, but lips could do with tidying, interior is very good and it is a 1 owner 79k car. a use and improve car, or just rust proof and use as is, a fun practical car with classic insurance and plenty of power. Paint is flat in places, rear bumper has cracks.
A nice car but not a patch on the red one.
