1965 Ford Mustang convertible in Wimbledon white with original red leather interior and original 289 V8 engine along with a 3 speed "Cruise-O-Matic" transmission. A truly iconic American classic with a lot of history, this stunning car was born in Dearborn, Michigan in April 1965 and shipped to Great Falls, Montana to Bison Ford where she was sold on March 14, 1965.
- She still has the original owner's manual and warranty in her glovebox!
- She is one of 73, 112 convertible mustangs built in 1965, and one of only 65, 663 with the standard interior.
-It is estimated there are only about 13, 000 of these models still on the road today, many of which have made their way overseas.
- This car has been used in TV shows and as a movie car many times, and has driven across the country numerous times, having just recently completed a road trip from Key West to Bar Harbor Maine.
- New/ recent to the car are: a high performance radiator, electric cooling fan (with override switch), after market tachometer and temperature gauge, new high output (100 amp) alternator, new belt, new starter solenoid, new battery, new ignitor "flame thrower" coil, pertronix electronic ignition, inverter, cell phone charger and powerful bluetooth speaker.
- She has Legendary "Magnum 500" chrome rims by Scott Drake.
- Orginally a "C-code" car, she has her original 289 engine, but the carburetor has been upgraded to a 4V (4-barrel Edelbrock) with a dual-plane, high performance intake and custom headers along with performance exhaust, dual 2. 5" pipes all the way back out through the rear valance.... (No alterations have been made to the body of the car).
- The car is a "driver car" in fantastic shape for her age, solid all around, with no rot or major rust (there are minor scratches and minor cosmetic imperfections, with areas of touch up paint).
- She has been lifted slightly in the rear to accommodate for multiple passengers in back and heavier luggage in the trunk while still allowing adequate clearance for the larger, wider tires and performance exhaust...
- She's not currently a "show car winner" but you could easily make her one with a fresh paint job and removing the few modern upgrades, or keep her as is and enjoy as a Sunday driver, or even daily driver.
- She turns heads in any parking lot, even at the car shows.
- Her older manual white ragtop is being replaced with a new one by a professional this month.
