For sale is a lovely early Triumph 5H De Luxe. 500cc. The frame number is TH 13x and with production starting at TH101 it is a very early model. The 5T (OHV twin) and 5H (OHV single) were both introduced in 1937 and remained in the range from 1937-1939.
The 5H is an older restoration and is best described as a very nice rider’s bike. The engine sounds fabulous and will idle steadily from cold.
The paint is not perfect in some places but still presents lovely with painted panels and rim centers lined with gold as per original. Chrome is good.
Original Lucas amp meter, Triumph oil gauge and chrome lamp fitted in the tank panel. Original Amal levers. Original Lucas headlight with “King of the Road” emblem. Silencer and exhaust pipe from Armours.
The bike comes with a huge folder with copies of spare parts catalogues, Triumph Instruction book and some receipts for spares bought during restoration.
Long term ownership. Currently registered for the road.
