1960 Austin Seven MK 1 Mini. This very rare July 1960 Austin Seven is in its factory colour of Speedwell Blue with Grey and blue interior. This mini was restored 21 years ago and has not been painted since. When it was restored it was taken back to bare metal and the only panels it needed was the rear valance and the front panel. All of the other panels including the sills and floors etc are all original after 61 years!! The interior is original other then the carpets. The original engine was rebuilt along with the gearbox and converted to run on unleaded petrol. The condition today in as it was finished 12 month ago. It drivers very well and the engine is quiet, smooth and pulls well through the gears. This early car has retailed it original early features like the straight gear lever, smooth windscreen surround and early hub caps etc. The details are all correct and due to the body being original the doors close well and are inline with the rear quarters, which is very rare. It has covered 32990 miles from new and is just lovely. It is of the nicest and most original Mk1 Minis I have ever seen and drives very well. Its storey is told in a nice magazine feature which is in the history file. The original number plate was sold off years ago but recently bought back for £600 by the last owner to make the car original again!
