Here for sale is a 1949 Bristol 400 presented in the original colour scheme of Old English White (Ivory). The interior is also the original colour scheme of blue leather with white piping. We believe this is the only Bristol 400 finished these colours from the factory.
This actual car was featured at the 1949 Olympia Motor Show.
In December 2011 this 400 underwent a complete bottom end rebuild in - new mains / reground crank. Since then, the car has travelled around 20, 000 miles.
During the ownership of the current owner some mild modifications have been made:
- Overdrive
-Brake servo
-Alfin Drums all round
-High level brake light
-Oil cooler
-Electronic ignition
-High lift camshaft, increased compression ratio and hardened valve seats.
-Dynator fitted while keeping the electronics positive earth.
This example of the Bristol 400 is in excellent condition in both aesthetics and mechanics.
