Description

One of the era’s most elegant and recognisable designs with a turn of performance a decade ahead of its time and interior finishes rivalling those of the world’s finest automobiles- with grace, space and pace, it is pure Sir William Lyons. The remarkable survival of this example was owed to the second owner from 1958 who had the foresight to place the car in storage rather than disposing of it after it became surplus to requirements in the 1960’s, and shortly after re-emerging in the 1980’s this Mk 7M was marketed for £24, 950 with just 24, 000 miles covered - something of a record at the time. Following an interim owner, the ‘M’ was cherished by another long term custodian from whom we acquired it around 8 years ago. In 2015 the car’s remarkable story was told in Jaguar Enthusiast magazine (please see feature articles under ‘In the Media’ section on our web site) and the car has just been featured again in a leading Classic and Sportscar feature. Finished in Battleship Grey with Red Hide, this spacious, agile model makes an occasion out of any journey and provides the perfect transport to attend motoring events and outings.
