In 1962 and 1966 respectively, Honda, with the introduction of the CL72 250 and the CL77 305 introduced the term “Scrambler” and launched the predecessors of today's Enduros. These bikes were sold originally in Japan and the USA only and enjoyed immediate popularity with Californian racers in the 1960’s. This CL77 was originally delivered to Nashville TN but was then registered in Connecticut before being exported to England in 2009. In 2013 the little Honda was bought by the vendor. After the purchase he commissioned a complete restoration. Seven years and around 17, 000 British pounds later (!) he imported the bike into Switzerland. Photographs and invoices of the restoration are available and amply testify the very good condition of the bike, which has covered a mere 60 kilometres since the restoration. The bike has US documents, a FIVA ID and Swiss custom duties have been paid.
