Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 on Sunday the 15th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
The Honda CB72 Super Sport was produced from 1960 to 1967 and marked Honda's emergence as a serious competitor in the global performance motorcycle market
It bristled with technology including a single overhead camshaft engine (CB72E) that offered 24bhp at an incredible 9, 000rpm and was fitted twin Keihin carbs and a 4-speed making this a very sporty lightweight
This example is a very early UK model, built during the early party of the production run and remains, remarkably, very original indeed
Beautifully restored, it's a testament to her engineer owner's skills, as he has invested many, many hours in this stunning machine
Described by our vendor as 'running and riding well', the bike has been on display at his premises and may require light recommissioning prior to road use
Supplied with a current V5C and is correctly classed as Historic
A fabulous opportunity to purchase a very early, original UK bike that has been subject to extensive restoration
