According to the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity this ex USA Porsche 911S Coupe - Chassis No: the details below and Engine No: 6272685 is a 'matching numbers' car this car was built in December 1976 and was originally finished in Bitter Chocolate with a Cork Leatherette interior and with the following options: Fuchs forged Alloy Wheels with Pirelli Tyres, Koni Shock Absorbers instead of Boge, Oil Cooler, Leather Steering Wheel and an Electric Sun Roof and it was first registered on 1st March 1977 in Wisconsin, USA.
The car was repainted in Guards Red at some stage in its life in the USA, but unfortunately there is no prior history from the USA, which is not unusual, so we do not know when the colour was changed. The car is presented in Guards Red with its original and very nice Cork (Beige) leatherette interior, 2. 7 Litre Engine and 5 Speed Gearbox and sitting on its original Fuch's Alloy Wheels with relatively new Vredstein tyres.
It was purchased by the current English owners in February 2017 when they lived in the USA and then brought back with them to the UK in August in 2018. They had considerable works totalling over $17, 000 carried out by specialist dealer Intersport Performance in Virginia soon after buying the car and when it arrived back in the UK a further £4, 000 has been spent with Precision Porsche in Uckfield, West Sussex. It is in lovely condition overall, albeit with a few minor paint blemishes here and there, but no rust and it really is a very nice car to drive and has only covered a believed genuine 67, 100 miles from new.
