1972 Triumph Stag 3. 0 V8 MK 1 1/ 2. Manual / Overdrive. Signal Red with Black Ambla upholstery and Black Mohair hood. This lovely Stag was purchased in 1992 as a complete basket case by Auto Bodycraft of Kingswinford who specialised in Alvis restoration as the owner of the company wanted a Stag for his own personal use. The car was then restored completely between 1992-1997, this included a hand written log of all of the hours spent, all parts purchased and costs along with a photo album of all of the work carried out. The engine was also rebuilt and this time the car had covered just 44, 000 miles. The car remained in the same ownership until 2006 having been used sparingly and covering few miles as documented on all the old MOT certificates. In 2006 the car was passed within the family to the owners son in law at 51, 000 miles who continued to cherish the car keeping it to the standard that it was restored to and attending many events as a member of The Triumph Stag Owners Club. Most recent works are the fitment of a brand new hood and frame and a new front bumper. The history file with the car contains bills, invoices and old mots dating back to 1992 as well as the restoration log and photographs mentioned. Now having covered just 54, 000 miles the Triumph drives just as you would expect, the Triumph 3. 0 bursts into life at first time of asking and gives that unmistakable V8 burble. With the more desirable manual gearbox the car performs on demand with working overdrive and more than happy in modern traffic. Although now tax and mot exempt a fresh mot will be applied upon sale for your own peace of mind. This is a very usable Stag in a great colour with the best gearbox and is just waiting to be enjoyed in new hands. Absolutely any inspection welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Part exchange considered. Finance arranged. Free U. K mainland delivery. Please contact us for any further information. Lots more pictures on our website and Facebook page.
