“Collection by Vermant” is pleased to offer you this Austin Healey 3000 MKIII from 1964. It’s a car from the very popular ‘BJ8’ series, equipped with a 3 litre, powerful 6-cylinder engine with an output of 150 hp. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels by means of a precisely shifting manual 4-speed gearbox with overdrive.
The car was shipped from England to the USA on 24th December 1963. It was produced in black over a red interior. In addition, the ‘3000’ was equipped with numerous options:
- Whire wheels rims
- Heating system
- Overdrive
- Adjustable steering column
- White wall tyres
- Laminated glass windscreen
In 2017 the car made the big crossing to the Netherlands and then came to Belgium at the beginning of this year.
Huge investments have been made in this ‘Big Healey’ over the past few years. The whole engine was overhauled with new cylinders and pistons, crankshaft, bearings, etc. The gearbox was also overhauled and fitted with new parts if needed.
The result is a nice and smooth driving Healey with correct body fittings that is ready to enjoy!
