Description
This delightful Austin Healey ‘Frogeye’ Sprite is a 1960 MkI model, built on 25th May for the RHD home market and dispatched to Central Garage Limited of Bradford. Presented in Ivory White with Black leather interior and a Black Everflex roof, this happy little car was very well specified from new with toughened glass, MPH speedo, a rev counter, windscreen washers, a tonneau cover and front bumpers. The car retains its original registration ‘4924 WW’.
4924 WW was fully restored by Jentree Classic Cars between 2003-2005 and has covered low mileage since. Restoration was comprehensive with the bodyshell totally rebuilt with all new steel panels including steel bonnet. WW was fully bare metal repainted to a high standard, the engine, gearbox, rear axle, brakes, steering and suspension were all rebuilt with new components where required and the fuel and electrical systems were replaced with new components at the time. All exterior trims and fittings were also replaced.
Inside this frog was treated to a new interior at the time of restoration with Black seating with White contrast piping, new black carpet, a new roof and all new switchgear. The car remains nice inside today with only commiserate usage.
This fun little car has been supplied by ourselves to the previous three owners and is supplied with a new MOT, HPI clear, V5, British Motor Heritage Certificate, photographic restoration documentation and restoration invoices in the £10, 000s.
