MG TD Midget, produced in 1952 and finished in MG red with red leather interior. An increasingly rare right hand drive model, as the majority of production was built for the US market. The current owner has held in his possession for over 24 years, with only 4 recorded prior to his ownership. Only 10, 788miles covered, which is reasonably well supported by vehicle documentation. A late registered example, believed to have spent a number of years with miltary personnel, following which it was first registered for private ownership in 1963.
The 1250cc OHC inline 4 cylinder engine starts on the button (literally). The 4 speed manual gearbox operates with ease, including reverse. Regular servicing and maintenance has been completed throughout ownership and the TD is of course now MOT and Tax exempt.
The paintwork is in great condition for the vehicle's age, which is the result of garage storage throughout the majority of it's life. The body tub's ash frame and the underside of the vehicle, can be observed as being in equally as great condition. The interior carpets, leather and dash are all excellent. Brightwork is in great shape and has retained its colour well. The roof operates easily and as originally intended. Stowage is available behind the seats and a luggage rack is fitted on the rear also. At some point the TD has benefited from an upgrade to wire wheels, for which truly compliments the vehicle's stunning appearance.
Health reasons is now preventing the current owner from using the car and whilst a very reluctant sale he wants someone else to enjoy the car. The cherished plate is included in the sale and no doubt carries a reasonable value in itself.
