Ferrari 512 TR 1992 22. 000km from New Original Paint
History:
The 512 TR was the evolution of the Testarossa and production started in 1991. The interior was redesigned to increase comfort and ergonomics and the exterior facelift was designed to improve aerodynamics.
The 512 TR, an update of Ferrari’s famed Testarossa, brought about a host of welcome enhancements to keep the company’s iconic mid-engined, 12-cylinder supercar competitive against Lamborghini’s new Diablo. Its interior was given numerous updates to improve driver and passenger comfort, with the most notable changes being to the seats and steering wheel. Underneath the still gorgeous styling, the 512 TR gained 38 additional horsepower from the penultimate evolution of the flat 12 Tipo F113 D engine , thanks to a more efficient exhaust system and the adoption of Nikasil cylinder liners. Ferrari engineers focused on increasing the car’s overall drivability by installing quicker steering, a single-plate clutch coupled with a smoother gearbox, and larger cross-drilled disc brakes. Top speed was increased to 195 mph, just shy of the F40’s incredible 201 mph, though at a fraction of the price.
OUR CAR
Our car was delivered in September 1992 to its first owner. Finished in Rosso Corsa combined with a black Connolly interior this 512 TR lived its life in Italy. This example has just 22. 000km well documented with no signs of use both interior and exterior. Belts and major service performed in July 2022 . Finding a low-mileage, highly original blemish-free 512TR is no mean feat .
