2004 Land Rover Defender 90 2. 5 TD5 XS manual
First registered 1/ 09/ 2004
Era classics are delighted to be selling this rare XS model Defender on behalf of its current owner (a Land Rover enthusiast who restores Series LR’s in his spare time!)
Finished in classic and timeless Epsom Green Metallic, this factory XS specification Defender is in great condition with original paintwork, factory chequer plate and sitting on its rock solid original chassis.
With only four previous owners and excellent full-service history including a recent service at just under 127, 000 miles on the clock it's ready to be enjoyed immediately. (mileage may change slightly)
This XS has only been used for light duty and has always been garaged hence its overall condition is way better than many others out there!
Overall bodywork is great, there are a few small dents and dings, stonechips but presents very well overall and is as you would expect for a LR of this age
Sitting on five newly refurbished 16-inch alloy wheels and a full set of BF Goodrich tyres, the rears were new a couple of years ago and all have loads of tread left on them.
LED lights all round plus four mudflaps, front and rear lamp protectors, a pair of hefty sidesteps, and an NAS-spec rear bumper/ towbar.
The six-seater interior is in a good overall condition. The half-leather front seats are showing just normal wear and tear, they heat up as they should do and there’s the handy centre console for additional storage/ cup holders.
Being a top-spec XS model this Defender has a new replacement heated windscreen a couple of years ago, heated seats, electric windows, half leather trim, factory checker plate, remote central locking, and air-conditioning all in working order.
DAB, Bluetooth/ hands free equipped, four-speaker Pioneer stereo system and the original Land Rover head unit has been retained and comes with the vehicle.
Engine idles correctly, ticks over nicely and revs as it should and all gears, transfer box etc all work perfectly
and there are no warning lights illuminated
Good history file including lots of bills/ receipts etc for mechanical service work such as new swivels, new brakes, new suspension components, recently replaced steering box and power steering pump and a new engine loom.
The chassis is totally solid and has been recently waxoyled. It has had some recent welding at the rear to repair a small hole under the fuel tank caused by mud accumulating.
If you are in the market for a virtually stock Defender XS with low owners, excellent service history that’s only seen light duty please get in touch.
