MGC Roadster 3. 0 Manual Overdrive in Tartan red with black leather interior.
BACKGROUND
A very original 1969 registered vehicle, with only 7 owners and having covered just 98009miles from new. MOT certificates are present dating back to 1987, with current until Nov 2023 and a large history file of maintenance provide a healthy account of the vehicle’s provenance. The previous owner sold to us only on health grounds which have prevented regular use.
MECHANICAL
Fitted with a six cylinder 2912cc OHV engine, delivering 145bhp, the MGC was known for its performance and on road test it is sure to impress. The fully synchronized 4-speed manual transmission operates smoothly and quietly throughout the power range. The MGC starts on the button and pulls well in all gears. A power cut off switch has been installed to prevent battery drain through periods on non-use.
EXTERIOR
The Tartan red exterior paintwork is in excellent condition with no signs of rust or bubbling. Despite the fate of many alike, the shut lines and door fits on this MGC are better than one can reasonably expect. The 15 inch centre lock wire wheels are all in great condition and truly set the MGC aside from the rest. A new hood has been installed recently, which operates and presents as new.
INTERIOR
The black leather seats with red piping are free of damage and cushions still hold shape well. The dashboard is in excellent condition, with all dials functioning as intended. The period 3 spoke MG steering wheel provides the driver with the greatest sense of driving satisfaction when behind the wheel. Inertia seatbelts have been fitted to improve safety.
