An interesting MGC Roadster upgraded for fast road use with a Rover V8 conversion and 5 speed gearbox .
Enthusiast owned for the last 20 years, since it was restored, it has always been well maintained and looked after properly, as well as enjoyed. The last owner assured me it has never been in the wet for this time, and only reluctantly sold the car due to ill health .
The car comes with a good history file with numerous invoices , and still has a current MOT without advisories.
Finished in British Racing Green, the original straight six was replaced with the lighter and more powerful Rover V8 engine with a 5 speed manual gearbox.
The car has uprated suspension, larger wire wheels and larger power brakes that makes it a far superior alternative to the “B” V8’s , and was the exact reason the last owner bought it.
The car drives and handles superbly and is an absolute joy to drive. A vast improvents on the C, as it handles so much better .
An older restoration , the car is still presents in good condition throughout , showing a couple of very minor blemishes. It retains the normal MGC features like the bonnet bulge, although vents have been added to assist cooling .
The car was rebuilt between 2001 and 2003 by a specialist garage in North Yorkshire. All parts were either new or reconditioned. The engine was rebuilt at specialist workshop.
The engine also benefits from an Edelbrock manifold, 4 barrel carburettor and stainless steel exhaust.
The interior is lovely still with refurbished leather seats and door panels.
The soft top hood is in excellent condition and was brand new 15 years ago - it has very little use as the tonneau cover is normally used.
Last serviced with MOT last July , and covered very little mileage since ..
