HEP 1G is an exceptional example of a 2+2 E Type. Having been subject to major refurbishment, the car is in fine mechanical order, drives superbly and is cosmetically immaculate.
We have known this car for many years, the current owner a well-known figure in the classic car world is regrettably selling due to a change in circumstances. We have maintained the car with no expense spared including amongst other expenditure, a recent clutch, overhaul of the final drive and a service.
Benefiting from most of the advantages of the later V12 cars but with lower maintenance and running costs and with much more generous accommodation and luggage carrying ability than a 2-seater coupe or roadster, Series 2 2+2's are fantastically practical sports tourers. They enjoy far more comfort (these cars are fitted with rake adjustable seats) than the very early E Type’s and a much more user-friendly gearbox, these cars have a lot going for them.
This particular car also benefits from a good back history with all receipts from the past decade, a DVLA provided copy of the original log book, a JDHT heritage certificate confirming the car’s engine and other numbers and photographic and video evidence from the car’s restoration.
