We sold this stunning CGT in 2008 to a local mechanic to accompany his very early B Roadster and who had MGs for thirty years. He rebuilt the gearbox, overhauled the top end of the 3. 0 litre, six cylinder engine 4, 000 miles ago and put parabolic rear springs and Spax front shock absorbers on. He then fitted MGOC hydraulic power steering which really adds something to these cars.
In 2021 it was purchased by the owner of the classic car restoration shop that does our work for his own use. Having restored numerous cars from Astons through Ferraris and to many MGs, he was well placed to rebuild the C to beautiful condition. He stripped it to bare metal, replaced panels where necessary and spent a good time getting superb panel gaps. The car received a fanastic repaint in Dark British Racing Green - it looks gorgeous and the finish is outstanding. The wire wheels were refurbished in black.
Rather than fitting repo items, the original bumpers and other chrome fixtures were beautifully redone - the chrome has a deep, lustrous shine to it. Inside, high quality carpets went in to compliment the upgraded seats, which are very comfortable. The sunroof and headlining are in excellent order.
A superb looking and driving MGC GT. The bodywork on this car is utterly beautiful.
