Standard TR3a, so the engine fires up instantly, then needs a while to warm up. 60 psi oil pressure on the engine with an oil cooler fitted. Not Lead free engine so I use the additive. Fly-off handbrake off, then into (no synchro) 1st gear with overdrive on 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The Overdrive is smooth to engage and disengage with no nasty noises from the g/ box and back axle. Brakes are excellent. Rack and pinion steering.
Condition: This is not a £25, 000 concours car. The interior is excellent with the seats / panels having been retrimmed and are faultless. Moreover there are two extra seat with lap seat belts for little ones. Good carpets and rubber mats. Pictures show the original hood, full tonneau, hood, with side screens, frame cover and rear frame.
All chrome work in good condition.
Tyres are like new - the wire wheels are good with no missing, loose or rusty spokes.
Chassis is sound and has had lots of waxoyl.
Bodywork has been restored some 15-20 years ago and looks ok from 15 yds. But has some filler, scrapes (clumsily touched up), dents and blistering(on boot lid). Panel gaps are not good( but then they never were!) None of this bothered me as the plan was to improve over time and winter.
