This Triumph was first registered on 20th October 1972 and only has 5 previous keepers on the v5. It is a tidy looking car but not perfect and we have priced it accordingly. It has been in regular use and drives very well with no engine rumbles or transmission noises. It has new mini lite wheels fitted and a full stainless sports exhaust system, so sounds a little more throaty than standard.
The front seats have been replaced with some terrible modern ones than frankly don?t even fit properly, so these need replacing for standard ones. The rear seat is sun damaged on the top as shown in pictures. The bodywork is generally good with just some localised bubbling on one arch as pictured and on front scuttle. The paintwork looks ok from a distance but up close a few areas have micro blisters.
The engine bay is clean and tidy with evidence of plenty of maintenance. Any surface rust around the edges has been treated and painted , so it did not get any worse.
Underside from what we can see looks fairly good. The floors look sound as do the chassis. There is small repair needed at the end of one outrigger, but this would be a simple job as the rest is solid. The nearside sill has had a previous repair a long time ago and has started to show signs of needing a bit more. Again it does not look serious from what we can see.
It?s very much a car you can jump in and use and carry out improvement?s, or just enjoy it as it is. The only mechanical fault we are aware of is the overdrive is not working but this could simply be a switch or solenoid.
