Description
Hi, we are Paul Higgs cars based in New Milton in Hampshire.
We specialise in all things Classic Mini but we also have a passion for British Classic Cars and pride ourselves on offering customers the opportunity to get out there and enjoy the fantastic world that these Cars can offer.
We are very pleased to offer a real slice of the seventies with a legendary 1981 Triumph TR7, finished in Persian Aqua metallic with a sexy set of Wolfrace Alloys with new tyres. This TR has only covered 65k in 43 years which is super low with just four previous owners, the last long term owner cared for it for 23 years. It is accompanied with a comprehensive service history stretching right back to 1981 with its original bill of sale from Bernard Miers in Somerset. It still wears its original dealer plates. The folder contains reams of service receipts, MOT certs and copies of all previous log books. It also has the original Triumph wallet and hand book.
This TR7 was taken in part exchange, curiosity got the better of me and I started to use it as I had never had one before and I became an immediate fan. They instantly divide opinion but in my eyes you get seventies wedge styling, pop up headlights, a two litre engine with twin carbs, 5 speed gearbox, disc brakes and the full wind in the hair experience what is not too like? It is only a matter of time before these seventies legends are in a much higher value bracket. My TR7 involvement continued further and I improved it with a brand new roof, carb rebuild, rear brake rebuild, full service and then an MOT. It is more than likely going to need more ongoing maintenance.
On the road it is fun, the 2 litre engine has bags of power, it is such a light car that it really does fly down the road and its very easy around town. The roof is very simple to operate and in a few seconds the convertible experience is on offer.
The interior is very well presented with its original blue check cloth seats, recent new carpets and TR7 over matts, It has courtesy lights in the door to illuminate the ashtrays which is genius. A very seventies dash with lots of dials and buttons and a Pioneer CD with AUX and Bluetooth streaming.
The TR7 has a solid shell and has remarkably had very minimal welding, all of the panels appear to be original. The paintwork could be improved in places if you wanted to make it really pop but it is perfectly useable as it is, it offers budget classic motoring with lots of style. I have lavished much time and expense on it and now its time for a new owner to enjoy it as much as I have. It is sold as seen but has also been fully serviced and has a near full MOT but please dont expect it to be perfect. It is also MOT and Tax exempt.
Viewings are welcome and I am happy to answer questions you may have either through here or on the details below or the details below. (Paul)
