Description
A front-engined V12 Ferrari is a classic recipe, there is no denying that. The 550 and the subsequent 575, carried on a long-standing tradition of fast-GT cars that left the production line in Maranello. The 550 itself was launched in the mid-1990s, but by the early 2000s, the fast GT car market was hotting up.
Ferrari decided not to leave anything on the table, developing the 550 into the 575. Weight reduction, better Brembo brakes and electronic active damper control were all additions made to the new model, whilst inside an all-new dash, seats and door cars were deployed. The 575 was ultimately built to a higher standard than the 550.
This particular example is a 2002 model, supplied new in July of that year to its original owner, an avid collector, during its formative years it shared garage space with cars such as a Miura SV and a Porsche 959, quite the companions!
Externally, the car is finished in Blue Pozzi, one of the most desirable colours for your 575M to be finished in. As a non-metallic shade, it is easy to see imperfections, however, there are none worthy of note. The paintwork has a deep shine and lustre.
The wheels are five-spoke 18” items, which are in as-new condition, thanks to a recent refurbishment by the team at DK Engineering where they were wrapped in a fresh set of Pirelli PZero tyres and adorned with new centre caps.
The interior, however, is where things hot up even more. Bordeaux leather is the main theme, the hide adorns the uber-special carbon-fibre bucket seats, dash and door cards whilst the carpet is a shade of dark blue perhaps inspired by the Pozzi exterior. Inside, everything works as it should, and there are no sticky switches an issue that can plague Ferrari’s of this era.
Under the bonnet, is a 5. 7-litre V12 that produces over 500bhp, and can propel the car up to 200mph. It’s mated to a 6-speed gated manual gearbox that offers the ultimate driving pleasure. The engine bay is as you’d expect of a meticulously maintained Ferrari, free from any damage, leaks or nasties. The mechanicals are topped off by the recent advent of a Tubi exhaust system, to help the V12 sing. The original Ferrari exhaust is included with the car.
The car benefits from all its original booklets and manuals, and a service record that includes;

The 575M is quite possibly the ultimate modern-classic Ferrari, with looks to die for, build quality and reliability that allows you to enjoy it without fear and performance that can still keep up with modern super GTs. Just 69 right-hand-drive 6-speed manual 575Ms came to the UK, so this particular example, with its to-die-for colour combination and carbon bucket seats surely is a candidate for the best available to buy.
As with all our vehicles, a full digital folder is available on request containing more images, walk-around videos, and scans of the service history. The car can also be viewed by appointment at our West London showroom.
