This is a car built not just to look the part, but to make you feel something. GT40P/ 2387 is a tribute to one of the most successful and evocative racing cars of all time — GT40P/ 1075, the Gulf-liveried hero that won Le Mans back-to-back in 1968 and 1969.
It captures everything that made the original great: the stance, the sound, the sense of purpose. But it also brings just enough modern engineering to make it usable and reliable without losing any of the magic.
The engine is a 7-litre Roush-built V8 with Borla 8-stack injection — raw, responsive, and gloriously loud. The exhaust note is pure theatre, and the performance backs it up. It sits on BRM wheels wrapped in Avon CR6ZZ tyres, with Bilstein shocks and H&R springs keeping everything planted. There’s a rear Gurney tab and provision for front canards, just like the original race cars.
The bodywork wears the classic Gulf colours, with subtle nods to 1075 including the correct decals, rondel lights, bug deflector and rear marker lamp. It’s the kind of detail that draws in anyone who knows their motorsport history, but doesn’t shout about it.
Inside, there’s a sense of occasion. Leather-trimmed seats, Willans harnesses, a Moto-Lita steering wheel and helicopter-style air vents all blend to give you that 1960s driving feel. It’s snug, mechanical and alive, but not without comfort — there’s air conditioning, too, so you don’t have to suffer for your art.
This particular car has done very few miles and has been well cared for. It’s not just a continuation in its build, it’s an experience in its ownership. The kind of machine that turns a drive into something memorable, every single time.
