This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2025 on Sunday the 24th of August, The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.
The Lotus Classic Certificate (73010623E) confirms that this was an Elan Sprint Coupé, supplied via by the Riverview Garage to fulfil Works Order D478
The chassis was replaced with a Spyder unit in October 1984 and it's believed converted to a drophead coupé at this time. Various receipts are on file for interior trim, engine parts, rechroming etc.
The car was fully restored by the previous owner and refinished in Lagoon Blue over Cirrus White, however only a few receipts are on file for these works by Mick Miller Classic Lotus
Purchased by our vendor in October 2020 and since then has been maintained by Trevor Farrington Ltd in Knutsford
Some £10, 000 of works have been carried out in the last four years including an engine rebuild, master cylinder overhaul, small issues like door handles, door seals etc. and routine servicing
The result is a beautifully presented and maintained example at a very sensible estimate. The perfect summer wheels?
