LOTUS ELAN SPRINT 1971 GENUINE TYPE 45 DHC BRG
This is a genuine factory Elan Sprint manufactured August 1971 and was used in Germany and imported into that country in 1997. My German friend has recently driven the car from Germany to the UK and the car is testament to its mechanical road worthiness in that it did not miss a beat in its 1000 km journey. It is an original right hand drive car from the factory. Mechanically in very good condition as the engine has been reconditioned with +20 pistons, water pump, rings, bearings etc. Recent service including new heater hoses, adjusted shims and head tightened down. All VAT and import duties have been paid and an application for a UK V5 Registration document is in the process which will accompany the car.
The car was supplied to one of the main and well known Lotus dealers in the UK (Bell & Colville) and still carries the 'supplied by' B&C stickers in the door shuts. The car was originally painted from the factory in Pistachio Green and in Germany the car was repainted in BRG. The chassis, gearbox, diff and running gear are in excellent condition and mechanically good.
The car is an excellent every day vehicle and has been priced to allow for minor detailing work that I feel is required. Lotus now UK registered with V5 in my name & is GHH 549L C/ W Lotus Letter Of Provence-original factory Big Valve engine-factory Chassis plate. Excellent driver.
