Description
The AC Car Company commenced production in 1903 and latterly produced a range of sports saloons as well as sports cars and the hand built three-wheel government contracted invalid carriages for WW1 injured veterans that were a common sight on our roads until the 1970’s.
The rakish AC saloons of the early post-war years are something of a hidden gem. Powered by a very capable triple-carb straight-six engine and boasting svelte aluminium bodywork formed over a timber frame, the 2-Litre was the preserve of wealthy motorists who valued performance and luxury in equal measure.
At Milestones we are always on the lookout for outstanding cars from the 1950/ 60’s for our discerning customers and were therefore delighted when this stunning saloon appeared on our radar!
Owned since 1982 by the knowledgeable owner, the car has been meticulously maintained following a comprehensive restoration carried out by him between 1982 and 1986. Since 1986 the car has been regularly used and enjoyed attending AC meetings across Europe, Ireland, and the UK.

The 2 Litre is the perfect “Gentleman’s Express” to use and enjoy for road trips, weekends away, car shows, Goodwood Revival (she has attended for many years on the Lavant Bank) or simply a runout to the local pub with family and friends.
This beautiful car needs to be seen to be fully appreciated and previously marketed by Milestones.
